The New Hampshire Firearms Coalition, Inc. (NHFC) applauds the defeat
of anti gun State Senator Andrew Peterson (R-11) and the primary election
victory of Peter Bragdon. Peterson angered law abiding firearms owners
by first co-sponsoring a Vermont style concealed carry law and then testifying
before a house committee that the bill, SB454 was wrong and should be amended
or defeated. Law abiding firearms owners were incensed at Peterson's
about face on such an important issue. It was obvious to firearms
owners that Peterson could not be trusted to protect firearms civil rights.
The NHFC worked hard in District 11 to educate firearms owners so that
they could make an informed choice. As a State Representative Bragdon
was a strong supporter of firearms civil rights and we expect him to be equally
as strong as a Senator.
